Stem was identified from the Replacements web site. Additional information about the glass maker has not been found. It has been suggested that Schmidt's "Garda" pattern may have been produced in Germany by Theresienthal. This would fit into the theory that the glass was made abroad and imported into the States. F. Schmidt seems to have been an importer of glass and china in Iowa.
